This summer I participated in a Web 2.0 course through the Rockland Teacher Center with teachers from around New York State.  The framework was different than Drupal, but not Blackboard.  We created a wiki on wikispaces and pages with RSS feeds on Netvibes.  It was way cool.  I am looking forward to finding out how my librarian colleagues envision using all these neat new tools during this course.

This is my sixth year at Craig Hill, where students are in grades 3 through 5.  Before that I worked in the Rochester City Schools for 8 years.  There is a computer lab attached to our library, and I have a flexibly scheduled program.  What I don't have is staffing.  I'm really looking forward to having a practicum student for the next six weeks.

I work some weekend hours at the Children's Center at the Rochester Public Library, and on the reference desk at the Pittsford Community Library.  In 2005 my husband and I traveled to Italy for the first time, and we hope to return there some time in the next few years.
