My name is Julie Rapp.  I am currently a school library media specialist in Hlton. NY.  I work in one of the three elementary buildings.   This is my third year in this building working with grades K-6.  This year I have moved to an every other week schedule due to the fact that we have 877 students in our building.  We have a flexible open library schedule that I think is working great.  I have run into some opposition because our K -2 teachers were used to library every week.  Luckily I have the support of my Principal and the 3rd through 6th grade classes are thrilled because they have more time to come into the library for research and other things.

I have 2 observations coming up soon because this is my tenure year.  So, things are busy.  Maybe that's my excuse for moving slow with this online class.  Hopefully I'll catch on and catch up.
