Howdy! I am a Social Sciences Librarian at the University of Houston. Except for college and grad school, I have lived in Houston my entire life. I have never lived outside of Texas. I hope one day to remedy that! I am the Ethnic Studies librarian at UH: I teach, do collection development, and liaise with my departments. I was a coordinator for the Five Weeks to a Social Library Project on which this Leadership Institute is based. I love technology and teaching people about how it can enrich our lives and our services. I write and speak on technology whenever possible. I am a geek who is unafraid to flaunt it. I love Joss Whedon and unabashedly think he is a genious. I write the blog A Wandering Eyre and I contribute to the ALA TechSource Blog.
One random thing about me, as if the above was not enough: My favorite place I have visited in my life is Germany. The beer alone is worth the trip.
