Final Project Outline
This final project is the culmination of everything you have learned over the course of the last 6 weeks. Your task is to do one of two things:
Write a proposal to your school administration (or to whomever this proposal should go) in which you propose implementation of one of the social software tools we have discussed in the past 6 weeks. This can be for classrooom or personal use.
Write a plan to share the information you have learned this week with other librarians in your area.
Regardless of what you choose, you should include the following:
- A clearly stated goal.
- The tool or tools you will use to share, educate, or implement. An explanation of what the tool is or does.
- A set of steps needed to accomplish your goal.
- Challenges that may be faced in implementing your plan and some ways that you feel you or your library can overcome those challenges.
- Success examples from other libraries using the tool you have chosen. (if you think this will help your proposal).
- A plan for follow-through and maintenance of your project.
-
There is no certain length or format for this project. It should be as long as you need it to be to explain your plan or proposal. There is also no format required. If you are presenting your proposal to a principal that prefers memos with bullets, then your proposal should have bullets and be in memo form. Choose the most appropriate form for your audience.
Once you have completed your proposal, Post it in the Project space on the wiki. Be sure to read the proposals and plans for the others in your groups and comment on them using the discussion tab on the project’s wiki page.
